The vibrant city of Iloilo became the heartbeat of Rotaract as delegates from across the Philippines gathered for the Pilipinas Rotaract Convention (PROCON) 2026 from February 20-22, 2026, at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel. Carrying the pride and passion of the club, the Rotaract Club of Makati was represented by President Jover R. Acebuche, DRR/PP John Nicole R. Dela Cruz, Sec. Princess Angielette R. Pol, Dir. Darlah Marcela S. Leonardo, Dir. James Calvin L. Piñero, Dir. Glenn Clark B. Uson, Dir. Trina Mari B. Macaraeg, PP Emmanuel Adrian C. Manuel, PP April Jan H. Sembrano, PP Prame Rose E. Cato, PP Mark Gil E. Cato, and Volunteer Jean Antoinette L. Teves.
From the very first day, the energy of fellowship filled the venue as clubs showcased their identity and culture during PASUNDAYAG, the Cultural Exchange Booth. The Rotaract Club of Makati actively participated in this colorful gathering, exchanging tokens, stories, and smiles with fellow Rotaractors from different districts. It was a celebration of diversity and unity—an embodiment of what Rotaract stands for.
As evening came, the atmosphere shifted into a grand celebration during the PAG ABI-ABI Welcome Program. The stage came alive with performances and introductions that set the tone for the days ahead. A highlight of the night was the search for Mr. & Ms. Pilipinas Rotaract 2026, which showcased not only confidence and charisma but also the advocacy and leadership that define today’s Rotaractors. The fellowship toast that followed allowed delegates to connect on a deeper level, strengthening bonds that extend far beyond the convention halls.
Day Two centered on leadership, inspiration, and collective purpose. The plenary session, SUGILANON: The Heartbeat, reminded everyone that behind every project and initiative is a powerful story worth telling. Through shared experiences and insights, delegates were encouraged to lead with authenticity and passion. The District Report further reinforced the strength of the Rotaract movement, highlighting milestones and setting the direction for future impact.
Breakout sessions in the afternoon provided opportunities for collaboration and idea-sharing, empowering participants with practical knowledge and fresh perspectives. As dusk approached, the convention community gathered once more for the END POLIO NOW Neon Walk and Pledge Signing Ceremony. Illuminated in vibrant colors, Rotaractors walked together in solidarity, reaffirming their commitment to Rotary’s global mission of eradicating polio. It was a powerful reminder that service transcends borders.
The evening concluded with SINADYA, SINAOT, SIGABONG, a lively celebration of Iloilo’s culture and spirit. Music, dance, and laughter echoed throughout the venue, perfectly capturing the convention’s theme, “We Beat With You.” It was more than a social event—it was a celebration of unity in diversity.
The final day marked a milestone for the Rotaract Club of Makati during International Service Day. In a significant achievement, the club successfully renewed and signed thirteen (13) Twin Club Agreements, strengthening its network of local and international partners. These agreements symbolize the club’s steadfast commitment to global collaboration, cultural exchange, and shared service initiatives that will create meaningful impact in communities near and far.
Delegates also had the opportunity to explore Iloilo’s heritage and cultural landmarks during the city tour, bringing the convention experience full circle—learning, serving, connecting, and celebrating together.
