The Rotaract Club of Makati proudly concluded Rotary Year 2025–2026 on a high note after receiving numerous prestigious recognitions during the DAGYAW: District Conference and Awards Night 2026, held in two phases—June 6, 2026 at the Makati Rotary Club Foundation Inc. Building in Makati City, and June 19–21, 2026 in the beautiful City of Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Bringing together Rotaractors from across the district to celebrate a year of service, leadership, and impact, the conference became a testament to what can be achieved through passion, innovation, and collaborative leadership. The Rotaract Club of Makati emerged as one of the district’s most decorated clubs, earning recognition for outstanding projects, exemplary leadership, club excellence, and individual achievements.
Leading the club’s remarkable year, UGP Jover R. Acebuche was honored with the Leadership Award and the coveted DRR’s Kaulayaw Award under the UGP Category, recognizing his unwavering dedication and inspiring leadership throughout the Rotary year. He was also named a finalist for the Most Outstanding Year-End Report Presenter, further highlighting the club’s commitment to excellence and accountability.
The club’s impactful service initiatives were likewise recognized across various Areas of Service and Areas of Focus. Among its major awards were Most Outstanding Public Image Project for #EXPERIENCERACMAKATI, Most Outstanding Professional Service Project and Most Outstanding Community Economic Development Project for AI Academy, Most Outstanding International Service Project for G.R.A.B. (Goodness of Rotaractors Across Borders), and Most Outstanding Club Service Project for UBER Wabi-Sabi: Embracing Imperfections.
Its commitment to creating sustainable and meaningful impact was further recognized through Most Outstanding Project for Supporting the Environment for Kaloob Na Banahaw, Most Outstanding Project for Maternal and Child Health for Iron Heart: Building Strong Mothers, Building Strong Families, Most Outstanding Project for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Merry Little Hands, and Most Outstanding Project for Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention for Nothing Is Too Small To Make A Difference (NITSTMAD). The club also earned finalist citations for Eskwelakbay under Basic Education and Literacy and Project R3: Rotaract for Red Resistance: An HIV Awareness Fair under Disease Prevention and Treatment.
Among the highest honors conferred during the awards ceremony, the Rotaract Club of Makati proudly stood as the sole recipient of the Highest Excellence Award – Level 7, the district’s highest recognition for overall club excellence. This remarkable distinction reflects the club’s exceptional performance in service, leadership, administration, public image, and member engagement throughout the Rotary year. Complementing this milestone, the club also earned the prestigious 5-Star Club with Platinum Distinction, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to excellence and its position as one of the district’s benchmark clubs.
Further recognizing the club’s active engagement and leadership across the district, the club received the Most Number of Twin Clubs Award, Best in DRR’s Visit Award, District Grant Implementor Award, 5-Year Strategic Plan Award, and Good Standing Club Award.
Throughout the Rotary year, the club also proudly served as the Lead Host Club for several flagship district events, including RAC Star ng Pasko Year 13, the Rotaract District Training Learning Seminar, and the DAGYAW: District Conference and Awards Night 2026. It likewise hosted the First, Second, and Third Leaders’ Meetings and Club Leadership Learning Sessions, Sanduguan: Dugo Mo, Kaulayaw Ko, and actively participated in ProCon 2026, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to district engagement and fellowship.
The celebration of excellence extended beyond the club as several members were recognized for their exemplary service to the district. PE Princess Angielette R. Pol and PP April Jan H. Sembrano were both honored as Most Outstanding District Officers with Platinum Distinction. PP April Jan H. Sembrano also received Distinguished Chairmanship Awards for the District Conference and Promoting Your Club as People of Action Webinar, while both PP April Jan H. Sembrano and PP Emmanuel Adrian C. Manuel were recognized for their leadership in the Grants Management Seminar Webinar. PP Emmanuel Adrian C. Manuel likewise earned a Distinguished Chairmanship Award for the same initiative. Meanwhile, PP Mark Gil E. Cato and PE Princess Angielette R. Pol were recognized with Distinguished Chairmanship Awards for the Year-End Report, highlighting their dedication to documenting and showcasing the club’s accomplishments.
