On August 23, 2026, we gathered at The Haven for Women and Girls in Northgate Alabang, Muntinlupa City, for a day centered on self-discovery, empowerment, and growth. Led by the Rotaract Club of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa – MBD, with the Rotaract Club of Makati as one of its club partners, the project created a safe space for the women of Haven for Women – DSWD Alabang to reflect, participate, and rediscover their inner strength.
Through icebreakers that tested leadership, strategy, and knowledge; decision-making activities that challenged them to choose what is right; and a journaling session filled with thoughtful questions, we got a glimpse into their hopes, dreams, insights, and aspirations. Reading their answers was one of the most touching parts of the experience—it reminded us that behind every story is a woman with dreams waiting to be nurtured, choices waiting to be made, and a future worth believing in. Sometimes, empowerment begins quietly: with a moment of reflection, a brave decision, or the simple realization that there is still so much life ahead. May Project M.E.R.C.Y. continue to remind every woman that when we reflect within, we discover the strength to empower beyond.
